  • History

Originally one of the first hotels in the Midwest, The Historic Lahr was built in the 1830s. The Milwaukee building was later added in the 1860s, connecting to the Lahr to create what was then the largest hotel in Indiana.

After facing a period of decline and being considered an endangered structure in the 1990s, the building was completely renovated and transformed into The Historic Lahr Apartments. In 2015, Core Redevelopment acquired the property and further upgraded the entire building, preserving its rich history while integrating modern amenities.
