The original structure that you see from Walnut Street was constructed in 1888, with the gymnasium/auditorium building added in 1918, this is a two and three story brick school house located in the historic Walnut Hills neighborhood. As early as 1971, crowed conditions and changing neighborhood needs, placed Windsor elementary on a list of schools that needed to replaced or closed. The last students attendance was in June 2004.
