The city appears ready to go to bat for a plan to turn vacant city-owned Bush Stadium into apartments.The Art Deco-style façade on the grandstands of the 1930s-era ballpark would be preserved under the plan, which
was first floated last year. The plan calls for building over 100 loft-style apartments
in the curved grandstands behind a glass curtainwall facing the old baseball diamond
on West 16th Street.Although city officials are withholding public comment on the proposal until a planned
