Core Redevelopment, LLC was started in 2009, by an experienced industry professional seeking to pursue creative real estate solutions in today’s tumultuous market. Core is a licensed general contractor, and a member of The Builder’s Association of Greater Indianapolis.
Mr. Watson’s extensive development resume was largely completed while serving as the development partner of Van Rooy Properties in Indianapolis, Indiana. Purchasing his first apartment building at twenty-four, John has acquired, rehabilitated and operated thousands of apartment units in Indiana, Wisconsin and Florida. An amiable partnership buyout of Mr. Watson’s interest in the Van Rooy portfolio was completed in 2006 allowing him to retire. The volatility of the real estate market caused John to choose to reenter development with the formation of Core Redevelopment, LLC and subsequent purchase of its first property, Senate Manor.
John graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University and has two sons.
Prior to starting with Core Redevelopment in 2011, Mr. Cox gained expertise in retail development through years spent with Centre Properties and Mecre Real Estate Services. Using his knowledge of the retail and commercial markets, Mr. Cox established Mecre Real Estate Services to provide consulting services to developers regarding the pursuit, entitlement, financing, construction, development and management of real estate projects. Throughout his career, Mr. Cox has placed nearly $425 million of real estate into permanent financing. Michael is a graduate of Butler University and enjoys playing tennis.

Prior to entering private equity, Eric was an investment banker with CRT Capital Group LLC in Stamford, Connecticut, and a corporate attorney, focusing exclusively on large-scale mergers and acquisitions and financings, with Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz in New York. Eric has significant corporate investment experience in a wide range of industries and has structured, negotiated and closed transactions totaling several billion dollars in investment capital.
